India’s Textile Demand Reaches ₹14.95 Lakh Crore with Shift to MMF

India’s domestic textile demand has grown to around ₹14.95 lakh crore, with man-made fibres now accounting for over 50% of consumption.  

The shift from cotton to synthetic and blended textiles reflects changing consumer demand and global trends.

Experts believe this will boost polyester and performance textile production.

The transition is expected to strengthen India’s position in global textile markets.
