India's Textile & Apparel Exports Fall 3.75% in January 2026

In January 2026, India’s textile exports fell 3.68% and apparel exports declined 3.84% year-on-year due to elevated US tariffs until 7 February.

Total textile and apparel exports dropped 3.75% in January, reflecting weaker shipment volumes.

Cotton segment exports decreased 4.15%, while man-made fibre exports showed marginal growth of 1.01%.

During April 2025–January 2026, textile exports declined 2.35%, whereas apparel exports grew 1.59%.

Overall cumulative exports slipped 0.65%, and the sector’s share in total exports fell to 8.96% in January 2026.
