India Launches 2 Kasturi Cotton Initiatives to Boost Premium & ELS Production

At Bharat CotNet 2026 in Bhilwara, TEXPROCIL and Kasturi Cotton launched 2 initiatives for premium & ELS cotton.

The Kasturi Cotton Villages program will set up 3–5 model villages per district across India’s cotton belt.

These villages will follow certified seeds, scientific farming and full traceability under Kasturi Cotton Bharat.

The Kasturi Cotton Mitras initiative will deploy trained field facilitators for real-time farmer support.

Experts including V. Srinivas, Padmini Singla, Ashwin Chandran and Dinesh Nolkha highlighted stronger farmers for a sustainable textile value chain.
