France's Textile Import Share (Jan-Nov 2025)

France’s Textile Import Share (Jan–Nov 2025)

15 December 2025

From Jan–Nov 2025, China remained France’s largest textile & apparel supplier, holding over 30% of total import share.

France mainly imported ready-made garments, home textiles, and intermediate products, with fast-fashion and mid-range clothing dominating.

Imports from EU countries (Italy, Portugal) and North Africa grew in sustainable and high value-added segments, but China kept its lead in standardized, mass-consumption goods.

The euro exchange rate and EU ESPR rules raised compliance demands, pushing Chinese exporters toward green certifications and digitalized supply chains.

Analysts note China’s exports to France have entered stable-growth mode, with future gains driven more by technology and brand partnerships than pure volume.
