China’s Homo PP Export Landscape: Country Comparison
In October 2025, China’s polypropylene (PP) imports totaled 273.1 kt, down 12.18% YoY, including 169.2 kt homo PP, 93.1 kt co-PP, and 10.8 kt random PP; exports reached 235.1 kt, up 18.65% YoY, with 206.4 kt of homo PP.
Compared with September 2025, both imports and exports declined slightly; homo PP remained in net export, while total PP showed net imports of 37.9 kt in October.
During January–October 2025, China’s PP imports fell to 2.731 million tons (-9.34%), while exports surged to 2.5763 million tons (+27.33%), reducing net imports sharply from 989 kt to 154.7 kt.
India cancelled BIS certification for polypropylene effective 12 November 2025, easing trade barriers; China exported 130.4 kt of PP to India in Jan–Oct 2025, accounting for 5.69% of total homo PP exports.
Top destinations for China’s homo PP exports were Vietnam (17.50%), Bangladesh (7.82%), Indonesia (6.98%), followed by India (5.69%), ranking India 4th among major export markets.
