China Boosts Functional Spandex Output with New 50,000 TPA Project

Xinxiang Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. plans to launch Phase II of its 100kt/year Functional Spandex Fiber Project to expand capacity and improve competitiveness.

This phase will add 50,000 tons/year of super fine denier spandex, with a total investment of 1.05 billion yuan, located in the National Xinxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Construction is scheduled to begin in Q3 2026, with a 14-month construction period, funded partly through bank loans.

The project adopts continuous polymerization and dry spinning technology, featuring 150-end/200-end spinning chimneys, advanced winders, and intelligent automation systems.

After full operation, it is expected to generate 1.25 billion yuan in annual sales revenue and about 150 million yuan in annual sales profit.
